Acting in film is a character who embodies a role in which they are portraying a story. There are different elements in acting that help tell the story. These include Appearance, Facial expression, Body Language, Voice Qualities, Personality, role, and actions. Appearance is how the character looks. Facial expression is the look the character has on their face. body language refers to what the character is doing head to toe that evokes a feeling to an audience. Voice qualities is how the character sounds when speaking. (This can vary. For example, someone sounding discouraged in their voice). Personality is distinctive character traits that the person has. A role is what the character plays. Actions is what the character does in the storyline. In a movie analysis of acting, I gathered examples of these elements of acting in the film "secret Obsession". This activity especially helped with understanding acting conventions so that when my teammates and I prepare to make our movie we have an idea of what to portray. The graphic organizer is below.
